Am un review despre EeePC 1000H (cea mai tare jucărie:D) în drafts, aşteaptă să-l termin şi să strecor câteva poze care deocamdată se află în telefon, dar presimt că o sa mai aştepte acolo.
Acum 25 de minute trebuia să fie aici un reprezentant al unei companii de soft. probabil acelaşi care trebuia sa vina joi la 11:30 şi ne-a sunat la 11:10 sa spuna că nu mai vine. Presimt că o să stau şi eu în draft, ca şi articolul.
Ieri am reparat un black-box ce rulează un Linux, sistem care era pe bară de ceva timp. D-abia acum s-a cerut repararea lui la foc automat pentru că era nevoie de el azi. Hardware era ok, boota în mult prea minunata interfaţă text, dar refuza logarea la distanţă. I-am conectat cablul de reţea, am cules laudele, am plecat făcându-mi cruce.

some of my friends were smoking pot in a car. After some laughing they started to cruise around town. Drove for a while and while going round a roundabout one of them noticed that it would be funny to drive on it backwards. It was funny until the inevitable happened and they've hit another car.

Then the policeman came to their drivers door, my friend opens the window, and the policeman goes "don't worry guys, the bloke in the other car is so drunk, that he's telling stories you were driving backwards".

Actually, Linux users and atheists have a lot in common. At least, in my mind. There's no higher power (or help desk) to appeal to when stuff goes south, you've analyzed every component of the universe (because you compiled it), and you're fiercely evangelical while bashing evangelicals. :)

Minunile lumii

Există google/wiki pentru alea tradiţionale. Însă nu toţi o ştiu şi pe cea autohtonă, UPC pe numele ei. Încă stau şi mă minunez: de câte ore au nevoie baieţii ăia ca să puna un switch de FO în priză?

Ce mişto e când, venind de pe holuri, unde ţi-e cald, intri în camera comunicaţiilor, unde te aştepţi să fie "aproximativ fix" 18°. Şi acolo găseşti switchuri şi routere care operează la 30°+. Da, AC e setat la 18°, dar nu ajută la nimic dacă siguranţa de pe circuitul lui de alimentare e la pământ.
